Paraffin Gel is a is a moisturiser suitable for use all over the body. It is an emollient for dry skin containing 50% Liquid Paraffin and 50% White Soft Paraffin. It is a hypoallergenic, protective moisturising base for the prevention of chafing and the management of dry skin conditions. When applied to the skin, it leaves a layer of oil on the surface of the skin that prevents water evaporating from the skin surface. It is a very greasy moisturiser. It is also water repellent and helps protect the skin from irritants. It is an emollient, sometimes known as skin lubricant.
