Product Description
What is Canesten Combi Pessary & Cream used for
Canesten Combi is a complete treatment for vaginal thrush because it treats both the internal cause and external symptoms.
Canesten Combi contains a cream for external application to soothe itching and a single 500mg pessary which is inserted into the vagina to treat the infection internally.
The active substance in Canesten Combi is clotrimazole. Clotrimazole belongs to a group of medicines anti-fungals and kills the fungus causing the infection.
Directions
The Cream: Before use, pierce the tube seal by inverting the cap over the end of the tube and press. To treat the itching and soreness of the vulva (vulvitis), the cream should be thinly and evenly applied to the area around the entrance of the vagina, 2 or 3 times a day and smoothed in gently.
The Pessary: The applicator should be used to insert the pessary as high as possible into the vagina, preferably before going to sleep at night for convenient and comfortable treatment.
If you have never had thrush before, it is recommended to see your doctor before treating.
Consult your doctor if symptoms have not cleared up after 7 days. You should also consult your doctor if symptoms recur within two months.
