What is it used for?
- Emulsifying ointment is used to treat dry skin conditions, such as eczema and dermatitis. It can be used as an ointment or instead of soap.
- It is a type of emulsifying ointment, sometimes known as an emollient or moisturiser.
- It is used to relieve the symptoms of dry skin conditions, such as cracked, scaly and itchy skin. The emulsifying ointment leaves a thin layer of oil on the skin's surface that stops water evaporating. This results in a soothing, softening and moisturising effect.
- In general this drug is used to moisturise and soften dry skin.
Emulsifying ointment can be used as often as required.
